My favorite animal is happy! Is my dog happy?. Our favorite animal at home is the dog, he makes us happy by his mere presence and is our most loyal companion. But do you make your dog happy as he makes you? This can be easily found out through three simple things that we have summarized for you.

Body language of my dog

How does the animal behave towards me, is it alert, tense or relaxed? Every posture of our dog says something about its current emotional state and it is our task to interpret it correctly and to act accordingly. In this article we only want to deal with the body language that shows us how we can tell that our dog is happy, all others will be covered in more detail in another article. We know that my dog is fine when he happily wags his tail, hugs us and jumps up on you. But be careful, he shouldn’t get too cocky, but that’s also a matter of upbringing. It is not only through its alert behavior that you can see how our dog is feeling, its posture itself also tells us a lot. As with humans, the posture of our favorite animal is relaxed when it feels safe and secure. The ears and tail are in their natural position so that it does not pose a threat.

Human affection

The body language of our four-legged friend can not only be interpreted, but also influenced by love and affection, because this is the only way to guarantee well-being. We can give him care through our human closeness. But watch out, not every favorite animal needs the same amount of closeness and attention. As soon as the dog is looking for us, we can take it as a positive sign and get involved. A dog shows its confidence by being petted, lying quietly next to you or even sleeping. In the sleeping position he is at the mercy of us and vulnerable, including when he lies on his back to be petted. If our dog has this confidence in us, then we can be sure that he is happy.

Playmate

Keeping busy all the time becomes boring in the long run, even for our favorite animal. Therefore, we should not only be a good friend to our four-legged friend, but also a good playmate and not ignore the request. If a dog wants to play, it lowers its front part of the body, stretches its rear part up, wags its tail and emits a lively bark . With a little attention, we can easily make our favorite animal happy. A varied and regular walk also welds you together and promotes happiness in your four-legged friend.

Topics such as nutrition, personal hygiene and illnesses were deliberately not dealt with in this article, these can be found in detail under the other tabs under Lieblingstier. Since our four-legged friends are creatures of habit, we should quickly notice when something is oppressive to our favorite animal. If the above-mentioned points are observed and unusual behavior is displayed, this should be observed and perhaps even a veterinarian should be consulted, as it could possibly also be an illness. So always open your eyes and pay attention to the feelings of our favorite animal!
