Choose the right jacket against rain and moisture

You’re right with a jacket made of synthetic fiber. It dries quickly and keeps you nice and warm even when it is damp. Make sure you use breathable material so you don’t break a sweat. My favorite is the softshell, which is now available in stylish versions.

Particularities when walking in the cold

Opt for comfortable, warm clothing with freedom of movement. For example, a cozy parka is cut wide and has a warm hat. You can easily wear a warm wool sweater underneath.

Winter accessories – hat, scarf and gloves

Here the warming material is in the foreground. When it’s not pouring rain, I recommend wool. Loop scarves and bobble hats are particularly practical and at the same time a visual highlight.

Dress in an onion look

Onion lock is synonymous with the term layering. Here you wear several layers on top of each other. This has the advantage that you can react optimally to temperature fluctuations. So that the look doesn’t appear bulky, you should combine coarse and fine or transparent and opaque fabrics. If you choose colors, leave it with a maximum of three shades.

Waterproof and warm shoes are a must in the cold season

Wellington boots have become an absolute fashion highlight and protect you most reliably against wet feet. So that your feet don’t sweat, the shoe should be made of natural rubber. When it comes to winter boots, it is usually worth paying a little more. Thanks to high-quality workmanship, the water has little chance of penetrating the shoe. In addition, you should waterproof the shoe regularly.

Warm clothing for festive occasions

Stoles or bolero protect against the cold. Ideally, the stole or bolero is made of the same material as the dress. If you like it a little warmer, you can use a wide scarf without hesitation. Depending on the dress, you can also choose a mini cape or a faux fur cape to keep out the cold.

Weatherproof sportswear

Running, hiking, walking, cycling – sportswear in bad weather should be made in such a way that it protects the body from getting wet and cold and does not hinder the evaporation of sweat. It is not useful to dress warmer than necessary. It is best to use the onion principle here too, in which you wear several thin layers of functional clothing on top of each other. For example, choose a thermal shirt and a water- and wind-repellent softshell jacket. An additional rain jacket is recommended in heavy rain. The headgear is very important, because we lose most of the heat through the head. In very cold weather, I recommend thin, water-repellent gloves. Bright clothing and flashy colors increase your safety!
